Various sources are reporting director Kim Manners has passed away Sunday evening after a battle with cancer. His is not a name you might instantly recognize, however, fans of The X-Files or, hell, even The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. surely remember his work. Manners, who has been in television since 1974 after working on the feature Valdez is Coming , was nominated on four occasions for an Emmy with Chris Carter and company during his term on The X-Files . He has also been serving as a director and executive producer on The CW's Supernatural , starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Not the solo artist one might assume from the name, Nico Vega is an alterna-rock trio from Los Angeles, CA.
