In a strikingly raw and intimate film, director Wes Orshoski captures the late singer riding an emotional rollercoaster toward the end of his life. Featuring appearances by James Hetfield (Metallica), Gene Simmons (Kiss) Maiden's Steve Harris and members of Exodus, Slayer, Megadeth, Overkill and Sepultura, the film chronicles how two Iron Maiden fans encounter Di'Anno at the lowest point of his life and then set out to restore his health and relaunch his career.
Wheelchair-bound since the mid-2010s, Di’Anno’s health nosedived during the Covid-19 pandemic, when those two fans launched a crowdfunding campaign which ultimately led to him relocating to Croatia, where - through the help of those fans and doctors - he made a dramatic turnaround while running out of money, reuniting with his former Maiden bandmates, and falling in love. Eventually he makes a heroic and drama-filled return to the stage. All of this is captured in Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer, which Orshoski began shooting in 2017.
“For years there wasn’t much to capture,” says Orshoski, whose credits include Lemmy, a study of Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister and The Damned: Don't You Wish That We Were Dead. “Paul was waiting for surgeries that doctors in the U.K. would not green-light. He was in an incredibly dark place. But once he got to Croatia, fans and doctors gave him the hope he was desperately searching for. It was beautiful to witness. I wanted to make a film that was unlike any rock doc you've ever seen. And in the end, I think we got there.”
One of icons of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s, London-born Di’Anno helped launch Iron Maiden around the world, appearing on two of the most foundational metal albums ever released: Iron Maiden’s 1980 self-titled debut and the celebrated follow-up, Killers, released in 1981. In one of the most epic sagas in metal history, Di’Anno left Maiden in 1981 and was replaced by Bruce Dickinson, leaving metal fans around the world to debate which line-up and which singer was/is better. It’s a debate that continues to this day, almost 50 years later.
Orshoski finished work on the film (which was shot in England, Croatia, Brazil and the United States) shortly before Di’Anno’s death at 66 in October 2024. Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer has been screening at European film festivals and will be released worldwide on both streaming services and on Home Entertainment DVD and BLU RAY formats.

Recunoscut drept unul dintre cei mai spectaculoși chitariști de blues-rock contemporan, Eric Sardinas revine în fața publicului din România pentru un concert-eveniment la București, în cadrul Transilvania Blues Nights, marcând prima sa apariție în România după 2012, când a concertat ultima dată în București. Revenirea sa este așteptată de peste un deceniu de fanii blues-rock-ului autentic.
Artistul american este celebru pentru stilul său electrizant și tehnica explozivă de slide guitar, prin care îmbină blues-ul tradițional cu energia rock-ului. Influențat profund de maeștri precum Elmore James, Johnny Winter și Son House, Sardinas duce mai departe tradiția blues-ului electric într-o formă contemporană.
Cu o carieră de peste două decenii pe marile scene ale lumii, Eric Sardinas s-a impus ca un performer de referință, cunoscut pentru intensitatea concertelor sale live și pentru modul visceral în care folosește chitara, adesea apelând la tehnici neconvenționale și o expresivitate rar întâlnită. Innes Sibun (UK) – unul dintre cei mai apreciați chitariști britanici de blues rock, parte din Robert Plant Band și artist cu peste 30 de ani de experiență scenică. Unul din prietenii statornici ai Transilvania Blues Nights ca parte din proiectul The Malone Sibun Band împreună cu texanul Marcus Malone, prezenți de trei ori la Brașov, în 2019, 2020 si în 2023.
Rob Tognoni (Australia) – The Tasmanian Devil, un showman de forță, chitarist exploziv și o carieră de peste trei decenii. A mai fost prezent la Transilvania Blues Nights cu propria trupă în 2022 și 2024.
Roger Inniss (UK) – basist cu o versatilitate remarcabilă, activ în proiecte de blues, funk și soul. A colaborat cu artiști precum Joanne Shaw-Taylor, Snowy White, Mick Taylor, Edwin Starr, Chaka Khan. A fost prezent la Transilvania Blues Nights de două ori, alături de brazilianul Fred Sunwalk.
Mike Hellier (UK) – baterist cu groove puternic și experiență eclectică, a cântat în diverse formule, de la Mike Scott (The Waterboys), James Hunter, Johnny Thunders, la Mudd Morganfield, fiul lui Muddy Waters.

Nosferatu – Eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922), capodopera regizorului expresionist F.W. Murnau, este considerat unul dintre cele mai importante filme mute din istoria cinematografiei. Muzica originală a filmului s-a pierdut, iar de-a lungul timpului s-au realizat numeroase partituri alternative, făcând din Nosferatu un favorit al cine-concertelor din întreaga lume.
Dar niciodată nu s-a cântat blues pe el. Până acum.
Blüesferatü – eine Symphonie des Blues aduce în România o versiune live în care imaginea iconică a lui Nosferatu este acompaniată de o coloană sonoră originală, compusă și interpretată live de șase muzicieni brașoveni, într-o cheie blues psihedelic, intensă și cinematică.
După premiera mondială din 2023 și reprezentațiile din 2024 în cadrul Transilvania Blues Festival Brașov, Buzău International Arts Festival și TIFF Timișoara, proiectul revine în 2025, pe 28 iunie 2025, ora 21:30, într-o nouă punere în scenă, în grădina Castelului Bran.
Muzica originală este compusă și interpretată live de muzicieni brașoveni: Ionuț Constantin „Yokko” – compozitor, dirijor; Robert Watzatka „Watzzy” – compozitor, chitară; Ilyes Botond „Boti” – chitară; Mihai Nedea – clape; Ciprian Pârvu – bas; Claudiu Rusu „Kani” – tobe. Muzicienii vor cânta live în fața ecranului pe toată durata filmului - 95 de minute!

The Palme d'or in Cannes in 1966, the two Oscars in Hollywood in 1967 and the dozens of awards around the world pale in comparison to this grandiose moment of tenderness, simplicity and beauty.
Because it is undoubtedly the 7th Art’s most famous embrace ("étreinte" in French, the anagram of "éternité"), because you can't separate a man and a woman who love each other, because you can't separate that Man from that Woman, the Festival de Cannes has chosen for the first time in its history to present a double official poster. A Man and a Woman. Side by side. Back together.

Jose Ramirez este considerat artistul latin Blues #1 din lume, nominalizat la Blues Music Award în 2021 și 2023, locul 2 la International Blues Challenge organizate de The Blues Foundation în Memphis, Tennessee. Născut în Costa Rica, Jose a fost pasionat de stilul Chicago West Side Blues. A cântat alături de Keb' Mo', Ronnie Baker Brooks, Buddy Guy, Kingfish, Jimmy Johnson și Anson Funderburgh. Muzica sa este diferită de blues-ul tradițional, are influențe latine, Soul și Rhythm‘n Blues. Este primul artist latino-american care a semnat un contract cu faimoasa casă de discuri de jazz și blues din Chicago, Delmark Records, în 2022, cu albumul “Major League Blues”, apoi cu label-ul Blue Crawlfish, pentru al treilea album al său, “Bad Hombre Live”, care a ieșit alături de un film documentar omonim despre ascensiunea sa ca artist. Robert Downey jr. presents supporting actor and the least
deserving guy gets it, Kieran, who is the same in life as in A Real

Phones will be ringing, snakes will be crawling, emails will be flowing, agents will be waltzing around & mirages will be presented to him but I have the feeling he won't sell out. Kudos !

The acting awards were again different from those of the guild. All in all it was a calm and cool edition with the most indie films in an Oscar race, two foreign directors, and wins for Anora 5, Brutalist 3.
