Status Quo - Bucuresti 17 octombrie

Ati ratat, da, a fost un concert minunat ! Cam scurt totusi, 1 h 20 am cronometrat eu, si in deschidere VH2, wtf ? Sala Platului pe jumate goala, au pus perdea sus sa nu se vada, asa ca ma gindesc ca cei cu bilet de 95 ron au stat pe locurile de 160 sau plus...la casa oricum nu erau bilete decit de 160 ron, vindute de bisnitari cu 120 sau chiar 100 ! Lume pestrita, ca de obicei cele mai tari femei din lume la un concert cu sexagenari (aici si poate in vreo republica rusa), si fete topaind si stiind piesele, si lume in picioare si ridicate de pe scaune, atmofera buna, calda, rocking boogie. Bineinteles ca delirul a fost la In The Army Now, care nu e piesa lor ci cea a hitmakerilor Bolland and Bolland, colaboratorii lui Falco, cea mai ciudata piesa Quo ever, extrapop, si cel mai mare hit al lor, cel putin in partea asta a lumii, si bineintles ca orice om care afacut armata a facut-o cintecul contingentului sau. Quo au fost intr-o forma perfecta, cu camasi albe vs. camasi negre,doar tobarul in tricou, iar Francis Rossi (63 de ani), minus poneytail si vesta, cu o gramada de mimica amuzanta, ramine un chitarist virtuos al unei trupei astazi underrated, insa legendare.
Si eu ma ratat in 1995 la Cerbul de Aur, cind neavind acreditare am preferat sa vad la televizor de pe strada alaturata, pe Postavarui, cu un chef incorcoporat ad-hoc si a fost fun. Nici acum nu am primit acreditare (thanx Emagic :() si m-am descurcat ad-hoc, sunt mihnit insa ca din toti cei cu care am vorbit si sa laudau ca vin (sau nu), nu au venit pentru ca sunt prejudiced si vad in Quo doar In the Army Now, ori pentru ca erau obositi, ori pentru ca sunt prea multe concerte si au ales sa skip, ori pentru ca era prea scump. Oricum ar fi fost mai fun ca si concert de club, dar se putea bea bere (si vin!) si am stat cu berea in mina, chiar in fata scenei si a lui Rossi (din pacate nu am luat aparatul foto), singur dar cu prietenul meu Terje, cel mai mare fan din citi stiu, care m-a dat pe brazda re: Quo, macar in soul & sms.

Francis Rossi si Alan Lancaster au format in anul 1962 trupa “The Spectres”. Dupa mai multe incercari, la finalul lui 1967, trupa si-a schimbat numele in “The Status Quo” iar in 1969 se definitiveaza ca “Status Quo”.

The game of masks in Holy Motors, the latest film by the unclassifiable Leos Carax, won the awards for best in competition fantastic feature film and best director, as announced this afternoon at a press conference by Festival Director Ángel Sala. The film also picked up the José Luis Guarner critics’ Award. Alice Lowe, the lead actress in the black comedy Sightseers, by Ben Wheatley, won the award for Best Actress, while the psychopath from Chained, Vincent D'Onofrio, was the winner in the male category. Jennifer Lynch’s film was awarded the Special Jury Prize and Wheatley’s picked up the award for best screenplay. The Asian Films Viral Factor and Headshot obtained, respectively, the awards for best special effects and best cinematography.

Sitges 45: Sinister

watch Ethan watching 8mm snuff....altfel filmul lui Scott Derickson nu m-a convins, prea smekerit. Omul a facut avant de asta comanda remake la The Day the Earth Stood Still (bleh, 2008), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (bof, 2005), si in 2000, Hellraiser: Inferno, debutul sau in lung metraj straight 2 video (not seen by je).
Sinister e un cross de Shining cu 8 mm (Found footage si posibili Red Dragon), snuff snuff sniff sniff. Are niste efecte cheesy-creepy gen Ring si te fraiereste daca ai stomacul slab, dar pina la urma e un trish. Vincent D'Onofrio (billiant in Chained)apare necreditat. Muzica mickeymousing dar efectiva scary de Christopher Young.
