Paul Mazursky RIP

Always three they are -asa e si cu mortii. e un pattern morbid pe care l-am mai observat aici si aiurea :( Dupa Eli Wallach si Bobby Womack, Paul Mazursky.
Regizor independent actor, scenarist american, si unul din favoritii mei, Paul Mazursky, a murit pe 30 iunie. Avea 84 de ani. As fi crezut ca are vreo 70-72. Stil asemanator cu Woody Allen dar si sensibilitati europene- Rohmer. Alex in Wonderland era modelat dupa Fellini, unul din cele ami ciudate filme din perioada Easy Rider-s, cu Donald Sutherland as Alex, un regizor dazed and confused.
Am sa dau in memoriam la Cinemateca Patria in septembrie patru din filmele sale, Harry si Tonto-1974 (Oscar pentru Art Carney, cel mai bun actor), An Unmarried Woman-1978, 3 nominalizări la Oscar, Premiul de interpretare feminină la festivalul de la Cannes 1978 pentru Jill Claybourgh, Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986), Enemies: A Love Story (1989)-3 nominalizări la Oscar, .
Paul Mazursky a fost de 5 ori nominalizat la premiul Oscar. RIP.

Bobby Womack, RIP. 70 de ani. Trebuia sa cinte la Paris in 2 zile...a compus pentru Janis Joplin si a fost cu ea in noaptea in care a murit. Womack a compus si inregistrat primul hit Rolling Stones' in UK No. 1: "It's All Over Now" , care i-au adus un tribut...
"Bobby Womack was a huge influence on us. He was a true pioneer of soul and R&B, whose voice and songwriting touched millions. On stage, his presence was formidable. His talents put him up there with the greats. We will remember him, first and foremost, as a friend."

Womak a fost chitarist pentru Sly and The family Stone, a cintat cu Sam Cooke, apare in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978).
