Berlin International Film Festival Mourns the Loss of Bernd Eichinger The Berlinale was deeply saddened to hear of the death of German film producer Bernd Eichinger. As one of the most important and influential personalities in the industry, producer, author and director Bernd Eichinger was for decades a prominent force in German cinema. With guts, instinct and confidence in the international market, he raised the prestige of German films worldwide. “With Bernd Eichinger we have lost a visionary producer and passionate cineaste. With his high level of creativity and energy he continually pushed the limits of the doable – and so repeatedly taught the film industry pragmatism and brought success. We feel great sorrow at his sudden death,” says Berlinale Director Dieter Kosslick. The Berlinale will show Bernd Eichinger’s A Girl Called Rosemarie (1996), starring Nina Hoss, who is a member of this year’s International Jury, in Kino International at 2.00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Bernd Eichinger was frequently a guest of the Berlin International Film Festival: In 1997 his international co-production Smilla’s Sense of Snow (directed by Bille August) opened the Berlinale; in 2006 he returned to the Competition with The Elementary Particles (directed by Oskar Roehler); and most recently, at the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2008, he took part in discussions with emerging film talents.
Walter Murch, legendarul editor si sound designer ii scrie lui Roger Ebert de ce crede ca 3 D-ul e un gimmick a carui renastere e menita pieirii cit de SOON. Cam odata ce publicul se va prinde si n-o sa mearga sa-si pun ochelarii pe nas dar eu cred ca de-abia Articolul, publicat pe situl lui EBert, al rubrica Jurnal, e intitulat Why 3D doesn't work and never will. Case closed. o multime de raspunsuri si comentarii, referitor la intunecime si nefocalizare. Am recunoscut deja ca si pe mine am obosesc forte tare filmele in 3 D dar ma gindeam ca poate ochii mei sunt prea obositi de computer, laptop si TV screen. Murch explica stiintific de ce nu putem vedea ca lumea filme in 3D.
un double bill cu Fat City (mai intii am vazut Bronson; si de ce nu a triple bill cu The Fighter desi asta e mai aprope de The Wrestler facut de Derek Jarman :-), pentru ca sa-mi completez imaginea despre Nicholas Winding Refn, regizorul danez care-mi spune mult mai multe decit old fart Lars. Construit oarecum ca o farsa, o satira impotriva sistemului !totodata o opera !!! sau opereta ! Bronson, film de regie, extrem de stylish dar finally pointless despre un inadaptat exhibitionist, vazut ca un entertainer in minteea sa unde suntem invitati sa poposim, dar nu e prea tentant :-)nu are forta lui Jon Voight in Runaway Train sau Fassbender in The Hunger ! ruda si cu Chopper (Eric Bana) si cu American Psycho (Bale) ! Foarte cautat, stilizat, cu muzica de opera, pretentioasa, in toate scenele de violenta, deja trademarkul lui Nicholas Winding Refn , ele sunt ca niste rabufniri sexuale, de coit interruptus si riffuri pe tema impotentei. Am vazut ca a fost numit “O Portocala mecanica pentru secolul XXI dar departe de asa ceva. Refn e influentat de Kubrick in ecleraj, dar martuiseste direct, "I always wanted to make a Kenneth Anger movie". Patternul lui Hardy poate fi Malcolm McDowell dar la acest film sursele lui Refn de inspiratie au fost...Pet Shop Boys (ei trebuiau sa faca soundtrackul dar n-au avut bani decit de It's a Sin) Tom Hardy (Inception) e excelent, senzational, un recital de actor, cu presiune fizica deosebita. Ebert zice: "It is 92 minutes of rage, acted by Tom Hardy." Nu inteleg de ce nu l-a dat Charles Bronson in judecata pe prizonierul-pirnaiasul e un termen mai potrivit- cel mai faimos din Anglia care i-a preluat numele ? (rethorical question, poate mr. Buchinsky a fost chair magulit ?)-altfel ce sa zic, 34 de ani in inchisoare din care doar 4 out of solitary confinement, that’s quite an endeavor, man !!! totusi poveste este prea senzationalista, de ce e nevoie sa faci un film despre un asemenea personaj ? un interviu cu Refn de la cinemadope pe youtube-mai sunt doua episoade dupa asta!
