Gandolfini a facut un atac cardiac, pe cind era in vacanta in Sicilia, participind la Festivalul de film de la Taormina, avea 51 de ani ! Tony Soprano is no more :( Virgil din True Romance, Bobby Dougherty in Crimson Tide, col. Winter in The Last Castle, Bear in Get Shorty si hitmanul Mickey din Killing Them Softly ! Ultimul film in care l-am vazut, Zero Dark Thirty...dupa moartea lui Tony Scott anul trecut nu m-a luat nimic mai prin surprindere :( Primul rol a lui Gandolfini a fost intr-un film de Tony Scott, anume The Last Boy Scout (1991), a avut un breakthrough tirziu, cu rolul lui Tony Soprano. Gandolfini avea o fetita, nascuta in octombrie anul trecut si un fiu dintr-o casatorie anterioara.

dupa ce ieri eram gata sa ratez Samsara (way better than Baraka) azi astept cu nerabdare sa vad pe ecran mare copia restaurat si director's cut-ul la HEAVEN'S GATE lui Michael Cimino (216 minute !!!!)
descris ca un anti-western, ambitios, poetic, epic si elegiac, despre un eveniment real tragic din istoria americana, anume The Johnson County War, Heaven's Gate a fost un urias dezastru de productie (a falimentat compania producatoare, United Artists) si crucificat de critica la iesire (1980), esec de box office, ciopirtit la aproape jumate (149 min) si acum restaurat la splendoarea sa initiala (premiera anul trecut la Venetia !), film-cult, si capodopera care a rezistat timpului, cu performante actoricesti minunate de Kris Kristofferson, Christopher Walken, Jeff Bridges, John Hurt si un rolisor al lui Mickey Rourke, plus importul frantuzesc impus de Cimino, Isabelle Huppert, si debutul lui Willem Dafoe !

de pe rolling stone The event wasn't meant to be captured on film. "Roger banned all recording equipment," Gilmour told Rolling Stone in 2011. "But I brought my own camera and told a guy, 'Just press that button on at the beginning and off again at the end.' Afterward, I told Roger I filmed it and he said, 'Fantastic!' And I didn't say, 'Well, you wouldn't fucking allow me to have a halfway-decent camera up here.' But, no, we had a great time. We got fairly pissed drunk afterward for a few hours. Then he goes his way and I go mine."
The surprise reunion set Pink Floyd fans into a frenzy. What did "possibly beginning" mean? Which Wall show would feature Gilmour? Might this lead to an actual Pink Floyd reunion? The following May, Gilmour played guitar on "Comfortably Numb" at London's 02 arena, and then came back out with Floyd drummer Nick Mason for "Outside the Wall."
Sadly, it was the closest thing to a Pink Floyd reunion possible these days after the death of keyboardist Richard Wright in 2008. Waters is still on his endless Wall tour, but any sort of Floyd reunion besides some sort of charity one-off seems very unlikely. "I understand how other people want that sort of thing to happen," Gilmour said in 2011. "But I'm entirely selfish in thinking that I want to enjoy my declining years exactly the way that I want to do it. And that wouldn't be part of it."
