Oscar 2020 @ALDsMovieland

so, again my predictions on this year Oscars, the 92th edition !

it's a shame they wont be broadcasted on Romanian TV, as all the movies were screening on the cinemas, a firstie after years of broadcasting from tvr to hbo to protv and digi24 !Huge shame, and the promised Twitter does not allow you 2 conncebt, and the ripoffs of you tube, oy...
But hey,
I just went and saw again on the BIG, i said biig (yes, Berceni), i mean, HUGE SCREEN !!! my all time faved Once Upon a Time in.. Hollywood (see review here).
and my top of 2019 films here !
It's a great opportunity for Boon Jong Ho's Parasite but 1917 will win ! if not, there's still unpredictabilty in them old and overblamed awards...
so Bold and underlined are my predictions of who will win. Who should win or i'd like to win, surely OUATIH and QT.  And yes, UNCUT GEMS, not even nominated, but who won BIG at the Independent Spirit Awards. , yes baby, Adam Sandler !!!

“The Irishman”
“Jojo Rabbit”
“Little Women”
“Marriage Story”
“Parasite”  (and Parasite won !!!!)  Bravos ! history has been made ! First film in a foreign language -and film-that wins the Oscar for best picture !!!

I wish IRISHMAN would win , and should, but the sfx are used as a makeup tool so they will go with 1917 !
*****
so back and forth, Le Mans'66 for sound editing and editing and more 1917 and probably Little Women for costumes, American Factory (watch on netflix) for feature doc.  Elton John might win best song and Toy Story IV animation. I don't really care about the shorts and short docs right now...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
on the bright side , out of 10 -ten nominations !- OUATIH took home the production design award  (Barbara Ling), Kudos !,  the supporting actor award - Brad Pitt, with a nice speech, obviously he was touched: "Once upon a time in Hollywood, ain’t that the truth …"
