Roll the Bones...One of the best drummers in the world, Rush-s Neil Peart died at 67.on Jan. 7th 2020. He was a biker too, went on a healing journey after his family tragedy in 1997-98, as presented by himself in the book /memoir Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Roadtand on the song Ghost Rider on the album Vapor Trails (2002), when Neil came back in the band. He retired in 2015 being diagnosed with brain cancer :(
Had the pleasure and privilege to see RUSH, one of the best bands ever, in Prague in 2004. Due to the fact Igot in front of the lavatory machines setting of Peart-s drums, especially in the moment of his solo, I lost my hearing in a ear for almost a week, thats how loud they were ! 9 august este premiera mondială (și
pe 16 cea românească) a celui de-al nouălea (și
penultimul film anunțat că îl va face vreodată
:(, de Quentin Tarantino, „Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”,
selectat și în competiţia Festivalului de Film de
la Cannes din mai a.c.
Once
Upon a Time in… Hollywood este magnum opusul lui Tarantino în care
se achită de omagiile tuturor maeștrilor săi și încă odată,
ficționalizează istoria, de data asta a Hollywood-ului, din anul
1969. La o durată epică de 2 ore și 42 de minunte, într-un superb
widescreen (filmat din nou de Robert Richardson), filmul are o
distribuție stelară ! Două din cele mai
mari vedete de pe planetă își aduc
aportul la maxim, din drag pentru Tarantino
și invențiile sale filmice. Este un
“bromance” între Leonardo Di Caprio și Brad Pitt, pentru prima
oară împreună pe ecran. Di Caprio a
jucat anterior la Tarantino, în
Django Unchained, iar Brad Pitt în
IngloriousBasterds.
Ce
se întâmplă în film ? Di Caprio este
Rick Nelson, un star TV în declin, iar Pitt este dublura sa,
cascadorul Cliff Booth. Ei sunt personaje fictive, dar în jurul
acestora, abundă personaje reale, cuplul Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie)
și Roman Polanski… Și, bineînțeles
membrii “familiei” Manson. Tarantino ne-a rugat să nu dezvaluim
prea multe.și după ce o să vedeți filmul o să
înțelegeți de ce. O plăcere cinefilă maximă, „A fost Odată
la... Hollywood”
are cel mai nimerit titlu și reprezuntă suma carieriei lui QT.
