RIP Michael Clarke Duncan

Vesti triste via Medias (AC). Ieri a murit Michael Clarke Duncan, Big Mike (1.96 m) , actorul care ne-a emotionat pe toti in The Green Mile (dupa Stephen King), nominalizare la Oscar si Globul de Aur. L-a secondat pe Brue Willis in Armageddon si apoi in Breakfast of Champions, The Whole Nine Yards si Sin City. A mai jucat in Planet of the Apes, The Scorpion King, Daredevil, The Island. Willis e cel care l-a recomandat lui Frank Darabont pentru rolul paznicului la scaun electric, John Coffey din The Green Mile. Duncan a fost la inceput bodyguard de staruri (de la Will Smith la Notorius B.I.G.) si a aparut mai intii in filme ca bouncer sau bodyguard (Bullworth). Michael Clarke Duncan a facut un atac de cord in iulie, de pe urma caruia nu si-a mai revenit. Devenise vegetarian, apara PETA, isi gasise iubirea vietii si vroia sa se insoare in ianuarie 2013. Avea 54 de ani :(

Michael Bay, care i-a dat primul rol important, in Armageddon (1998), isi aminteste de Clarke aici, la fel ca Frank Darabont cu care a lucrat la Green Mile (Culoarul mortii, 1999).
