sau a ajutat la editarea lor, la fel si cu documentarele, si acum mai joaca in filme si TV, de la Sopranos la Henry Jaglom si Noah Baumbach (Highball). Sa nu uitam ca asa a si inceput, dupa studiile de actorie, ca si critic de film, si in aceasta postura si-a cunoscut eroii, pe John Ford, Howard Hawks si Orson Welles !

primul compozitor al filmului a fost Angelo Badalamenti, si i se poate asculta muzica pe bootlegul workprint care circula pe net...dar Martinez a devenit star cu Drive si Nicholas Winding Refn l-a ales sa-i faca muzica pentru noul sau film cu Ryan Gosling, Only God Forgives ! More power to him !

Drive-the lawsuit !

only in America ! din nou se dovedeste ca realitatea depaseste fictiunea !
o femeie din Michigan a intentat proces producatorilor filmului Drive, anume Film District.

Sarah Deming has filed a lawsuit against "Drive" distributors FilmDistrict and her local theatre Emagine Novi for using a "misleading trailer" to get her to see the film according to Click on Detroit. Seems that Miss Deming expected "Drive" to be more akin to "Fast and Furious" rather than the retro art house drama with minimal actual driving that was the Nicolas Winding Refn-directed project. While she may have object, "Drive" is currently one of the best reviewed films of the year. Deming also claims that the film features "extreme gratuitous defamatory dehumanizing racism directed against members of the Jewish faith" and plans to turn her individual lawsuit into a class action suit next week. FilmDistrict didn't comment on the story, an Emagine theatres spokesperson called it an extremely frivolous lawsuit.

Well this is excellent news. I have an ex-girlfriend that used to wear (probably still does) a push up bra to make her breasts look bigger. Imagine how "mislead" I felt when I found out the truth! According to Ms. Deming, I should be able to sue for false advertisement.

Chickenfoot III

my friends Chickenfoot (pe care sunt mindru :) ca i-am vazut live in 2009, la Paris la Olympia), si cronica aici) au scos un nou album, aparut pe 27 septembrie, intitulat in mod ciudat Chickenfoot III (avind in vedere ca e al doilea ! ).
dixit Hagar:

Sammy Hagar appeared on That Metal Show on VH1 Classic and admitted that Chickenfoot decided to name their second album "Chickenfoot III" to avoid the dreaded second album drop-off experienced by most bands. He said they just decided to "skip" the second album and make the third album.

e fun si melodic, cu riffuri hendrixiene de la Joe Satriani.
piesa Three and a Half Letters are conotatii sociale, referitor la criza, sunt poverstile oamenilor ramasi fara slujbe, gen Up in the Air. Sammy Hagar urla disperat: "I need a job".
mai e si un Dubai Blues, destul de dubios ca mesaj (ai totul pe lume, dar n-o ai pe ea..), dar ritmic, forte , blues-ul e numai in titlu !
piesele mai slow sunt Come Closer si Something's Going Wrong...
piesa bonus e un atac la adresa administratiei si administratiilor, "they lied about"...(No Change)
videoclipul Big Foot (primul single) e ciudatel.

Chad Smith (tobarul functional de la Red Hot Chili Peppers) a inregistrat albumul dar nu participa la turneul nou, datorita angajamentelor de tour RHCP (care au scos si ei album nou, in septembrie (I'm With You). Il inlocuieste Kenny Aronoff.
