Sitges 45: Seven Psychopaths

Al doilea film de Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, nr. 5 in topul meu pe 2008) este o capodopera :), si cel mai bun film pe care l-am vazut anul asta ! You´re in for a treat, vine si-n Romania in decembrie courtesy Ro Image !
Doar distributia ar fi suficienta pentru a descrie unul din cele mai importante filme de cult viitor, Colin Farrell (intr-un rol minunat, echilibrat), scenarist irlandez alcoolic " e genetic", Christopher Walken as Hans Kieslowski (un titan !, parca am vazut un urias generos), Sam Rockwell (well, that´s a psycopath that´s funny and scary), Woody Harrelson (whatever he may smoke rules), Tom Waits (si un iepure..), Abbie Cornish (in a wet Tshirt), Zeliko Ivanek, Kevin Corrigan si Olga Kurylenko.

Seven Psychopaths, un cross de Coen si Tarantino, dar care out-tarantino, cu mai putin movie movie comic book film references, si mai subtil, cu sensibilitati europene si o viziune a Americii si Los Angles /Hollywood mai acida si mai calda, nu in stilul in care a facut-o si Sergio Leone la vremea sa, dar cu aceiasi caldura cinefila. Acum suntem in postmodernism 100 % si suprarealism poetic intr-o varianta Joshua Tree la Sunset Blvd. Intram in film via un citat Boardwalk Empire, (primul cadru e semnul Hollywood de pe deal), si terminam pe un steag american ars trei sferturi (no more spoliers...)

Trivia:
-Mickey Rourke ar fi trebuit sa joace rolul lui Woody Harrrelson (makes sense pt ca era un dog loving mobster, also gay). Vezi numele depemormint in shootoutul din cimitir. You missed out on this one, Mickey :( !

si nu ca-s eu emotionat dar e the feel good film of the year !
si da, First Cut is still the deepest (v. soundtrack excelent, pe linga muzica lui Carter Burwell. Hank Willams jr -Angel of Death, Deer Tick, Townes van Sant,The Walkmen, Berlioz, First Cut is the Deepest de Yusuf Islam (Cat, you know, cu P.P. Arnold, versiunea originala din 1967 !). Si cu asta declar Sitges oficial ca festivalul meu preferat, el muy mejor del mundo ! si inca n-am fost la zombie walk ;)
